Its not perfect yet obviously just playable. The game runs 30 fps in most dungeons and 15-25 in the outside world.

However the game is constantly running at 30fps so its not like a pcsx2 where if you have 50fps the game is running at like 90% speed the game is constantly at 100% speed but your frame rate will be choppy

Decided to check out mobile gaming, and the majority of games look like freeware garbage/pay2win ads.
I don't want to tilt my phone or tap on the screen repetitively for scores or coins or w/e other crap they eventually ask you to pay for.

Ports from square enix and others look good, but are either expensive as hell or have bad reviews.

Invest in a few emulators and a dedicated bt controller for my phone.

But yes there has been tremendous improvements. RDR actually goes in game now and went from 1 fps to 8-10 fps.

I just remember doing this back when dolphin was so much worse, back in 2010 or so, playing wind waker, my first gen i7 920 put up with it.

Over the years I've seen my old trusty bloomfield get overshadowed by sandy bridge and all that shit, but thanks to dolphin devs and their ubershaders, It all just fucking works now.

One thing i love about RPCS3 is it's plug & play with DS4

i7 920 anon here. Just tried Persona 5.

It was surprising alright.

I mean. It was constantly shuffling between 10 15 and 30 fps, had a few graphical glitches, animated cutscenes were stuttery as all fuck. But it was A LOT more playable than I thought it was gonna be. That might be because the game isn't really tied to framerate. The loading to go from the intro to the main menu screen stuttered for legit like 5 mintues. I still need to get a ryzen..

I wonder how much better it would be if I turned hyper threading on.

If it were to get ironed out so that it would more consistently run at 15 fps and the cutscenes didn't stutter. I could see myself at least starting a play through.

old consoles that have stable and mature emulation can be lumped in with others in a single program

new consoles that are still bleeding edge and featuring much development should have a dedicated program as to not muddy the waters unnecessarily.

bloomfield tops out at 4000mhz basically, while the westmere xeons do 4.4ghz regularly, and 4.6ghz+ if you get one of the more expensive bins like x5670/x5680/x5690.

So it will be probably a 5-10% boost from bloomfield in single thread. But the westmere xeons have less power consumption because of 32nm compared to bloomfield 45nm, less heat, and they have 6 cores.

I'm really liking Retroarch for 5th gen and below, but dolphin is still in developement.

If dolphin was perfect, pcsx2 wasn't shit, then maybe i'd use retroarch for it.

But holy shit, Retroarch for PS1 emulation is so much fucking easier than plugin based ps1 emus and their god fucking awful interface design.

Can't even look at what my plugin settings are when the game is runnning, widescreen hack is in pcsxr CPU settigns, esc stops emulation, and mouse cursor remains hidden when you need it. Dogshit

Peace Walker HD on i5 3470 at stock values. Menus and cutscenes run at full speed, anything 3D hovers between 7-20 fps, which is worse than PSP version.
Everything looks good, no visual glitches other than ugly fog effects in tutorial and in Mother Base screen. Probably RPCS3 has problems with dithering.
