I definitely agree that Drizzlers are the most overlooked enemy in Salmon Run. So many times I've gotten that last tick from a stray rain cloud. God forbid there's two of them, then you're really fucked. Also the rate at which they cover ink can be insane. Not only the rate actually, but the WAY they cover ink. Stray splotches everywhere always fuck up your run to the basket and allow other salmonids to catch up on you.

How do I get better at Salmon Run? I feel I'm doing better at Profreshional and can consistently get to the last wave, but either time runs out when I'm two eggs short or we all fucking die with a few seconds left. I had a losing streak of very close wins and I feel like it's my fault.

If you're making egg trips in a hot zone, you should get into the habit of, provided you have the ink, tossing a splatbomb at your feet or back behind you as you cart the egg back. It's a quick and easy way to clear some space and you'll recover all of your ink on the trip back to the basket, maybe even help clear a path for a friend struggling to get through some smaller enemies and their ink without having to stop yourself.

Salmon Run is fun as fuck, aware of complaints of people disconnecting/Switch wifi issues but have had 0 issues after 20 hours myself, barring the literally useless stingray all the new specials and tweaks are fantastic.

Single-player is too bloated, the chat thing doesn't affect me but is still just baffling, wish the level requirement for weapons capped at 20 and you unlocked more options per level, really hoping for a new ranked mode at some point, aside from the splatfest-exclusive stage coming up the drip-feed releases have been a little too sparse.

Every time I've got the thing perfectly lined up it just goes off in some stupid direction. It isn't worth the effort, so I just get rid of it. If you have one other teammate helping you can deal with the cloud bomb and the salmonid at the same time without baiting everyone's breath with whether or not our teammate we can't talk to even knows what they're doing with the bomb.

I FINALLY beat my first profreshional mission after ranking in and out of it like 3 times, and the only reason we got it is because the game was nice and gave us two regular rounds and a single low-tide where we basically had to abandon the egg basket and retreat back to spawn once we hit quota because about 4 or 5 steelheads showed up at the same time. This gamemode is fucking insane.

Salmon Run has great moments with a competent team.

I seem to suck at the game but I'm having fun with it. I usually use the Octobrush or Slosher and seem to do well with it splat wise (avg 7.8 right now) but I usually end up losing on turf war anyway. Don't know if I want to try ranked yet because I feel I am still fumbling with the motion controls still.

How do I git gud at amything other than Aerospray MG?

It takes two shots from the drizzler to kill it if I'm also being mindful of the bomb, one if you just let the bomb go, which is seconds, and you can shoot at other enemies while its shielding itself. You're going to waste more time trying to line up the perfect shot if you weren't already in position and you happen to miss, provided you even have the space to try getting in position.

If you're still lining up shots on the thing while your team is shooting at it normally, you're the one wasting time. Shoot the bomb away and be done with it so you can do something more valuable. You don't get a pay raise for style.
