Cod 4 has a terrible single player campaign. You just run forward through corridors and wait for scripted events to happen. There's even infinite enemy loops until you progress past a certain point. It's 5 hours of just running forward and that's it. Mw3 is the worst modern AAA multiplayer shooter ever made with completely broken spawns, no balance, garbage maps, horrible weapons etc. You have the worst taste of anybody I've ever seen

Cod 2 is 4 hours long, has regenerating health, and introduced the reduced/absent recoil the series has been infamous for ever since. It only holds up to scrutiny for having decent level design and good multiplayer

I beat the campaign in 3.9 hours on hard difficulty my first playthrough. Give me a second to show you my steam time

CoD2 and MW2 for singleplayer, the two games in the series with the most open level designs. MW2 in particular is very well-paced, non-stop action and has an incredible amount of level variety, it also got rid of the annoying endless enemy respawns and grenade spam that plagued the earlier games in the series. CoD2 has more open level design though.

BO2 for multiplayer, the pick 10 system greatly enhanced class customization while the shift from killstreaks to the scorestreak system greatly encouraged teamwork.

CoD4 singleplayer is very linear and has little variety, don't listen to the idiots who recommend it. They're likely babbies whose first exposure to modern warfare FPS is CoD4 and/or are easily impressed by CoD4's pseudo-realism.

CoD on its own was never good unless your a single player fag. CoD required a mod to be good and that mod was promod for CoD4. It's dead now so I wouldn't bother with any CoD.

Loved 4, it was first game like this I played and I was blown away by every second of it. It was also after I got new PC, so graphic change was really massive.
MW2 was ok, black ops got some nice parts, everything else was bad or not for me (not fan of IIWW or too futuristic shit).

i think advanced warfare had a pretty fun campaign, i also think that the movement was the best in any future COD and that it had the most fun Multiplayer.
