I went all the way back to the SNES era and played Actraiser. Think DS1 bosses but with base-building and god game gameplay.

I've only finished the first one though, the second one is frustrating.

Demon's souls is highly overrated.

Definitely play Demon's Souls. I played it pretty early on when the online was still alive, and it is still somewhat alive but you'd probably miss nothing by emulating on PC if that ever gets running right.

Nioh is great. It's a good game if you liked Bloodborne as its a fast boy game.

I haven't played The Surge but Sci-fi souls looks ok. I know its by the Lords of the Fallen devs but I've heard it's better. Probably investigate before a purchase.

Lords of the Fallen is trash. I only played it because it was free on PS Plus a long time ago, that game is a waste of money.

Play Armored Core: for Answer obviously, all this was merely preparation for the dodging you'll have to do in that game.
