Because the first game was very good and the multiplayer was the best of the generation in my opinion. It is a bit worrying that they went back on their words saying Ellie and Joels story was finished and a potential sequel would have new characters, but I trust they will deliver an interesting story either way. As long as going to try the whole "Joel was dead all along" thing as a big twist because everyone already suspects that from the reveal trailer.

Uncharted 3 shipped in a broken state that took patches out the ass to get it to fucking work properly, and story wise (the main appeal to the games) was fucking awful. All the characters were out of character for the entire game. They didn't feel like the same people from two at all. Where as in 4 they all clicked again, and I credit Scherr as much as Druckmann for it. Drake's Deception missed the mark in nearly all areas that it could. I'm so fucking happy that that wasn't the last game in the series.

I didn´t like 3 all that much first playthrough but gave it another shot a few months later and it kind of grew on me. I had to force myself to finish 4 and when I finished I tossed it to the side and still have no desire to even look at it again. Uncharted 4 was a fucking trainwreck.

Faggot. The execution may have been off, but the story for Nate's origins was far better in 3 than the botched fucking rewrite forced down our throats in 4. An orphaned kid abandoned by his father and suicidal mother deluding himself into thinking he's related to one of his historical heroes and developing along the way sever abandonment and trust issues plays perfectly into the Nate we see in 1 and 2. The bullshit about him and his brother made up out of nowhere in 4 has no fucking bearing on Nathan's character. 4 had its moments, but its writing sucked dick consistently.
