I have $10.00. Should I buy SMT Nocturne or Persona 3 FES? Which is the better game and why? Also, how does P4 Golden compare to the two?
Can't really go wrong with either. What megaten games have you played before?

Depends on whether you have any interest in the school/social aspects of modern Persona
It depends. If you just wanna straight and hard gameplay go for nocturne.
If you want some more laid back fights but also the possibility to talk and form bonds with people go with p3

Apocalypse and I hated it right off the bat. Mostly because of the writing. I didn't like P5 either, but that's because I thought the story/characters were weak (got to Kamoshida's dungeon before selling it)

I just have no interest in romancing a character. Is there something wrong with me?
>>385764054
Nope. If you like it that way that's just normal. Go pick up nocturne then.

Persona isn't really focused on romance, it's just a thing you can do if you want.

Are you saying you dropped Persona 5 after only like 2 hours?
>>385764054
Go nocturne, it's just about you fucking demons up. Persona is basically a VN with gameplay, if that doesn't get you immediately you will hate it.

Well, if you want a game with interesting characters, comfy atmosphere and a great plot, then play P3. If you want a game with super challenging combat and a dark, oppressing atmosphere, then play Nocturne.

Apocalypse does have weak story and P5 has a slow start (though Kamoshidas dungeon was pretty great story wise). P3 is even more slow than P5, though it does have the same calendar system if you're into it.
Unless you like the battle mechanics and fusions I would not stick with this franchise.
Please buy my game!

WANTS to spend money on a ps2 game

The battle mechanics were fine in P5, I even liked the social sim aspect of it. I just didn't think the latter was executed to its full potential, at least initially. P3 and SMT seem to have stronger stories though, which is what drew me towards them.
