Nope. Parasite eve has a completely unique combat system replaced with generic combat in Pe 2. PE 1 had an extremely restricted story and setting, the biodome in parasite eve 2 is like one of the best parts. Plus, the Pe 2 enemies are way more horrifying. The transformation scene in Pe 2 is legitimately scary.

Yeah, no doubts there. Pe 2 has a couple of good tracks, but mostly the throwback tracks. Parasite eve 1 just has amazing music all around, especially the battle theme, which is arguably the most important song in any rpg.
