What are the odds of IS designing the next FE to be closer in scope to FE4?
The maps in Awakening and Birthright were pretty lame, I'd like some bigger sprawling maps with multiple objectives like before.

Multiple onjectives and big maps are two different things. Personally I'd be interested in both, but multiple objectives is key. Conquest loses steam lategame for me as there's no ally recruitments, villages to protect, or requirements to meet. There's like 2 good chests you wanna loot but that's it.
FE Switch will probably have more complexity, whether it be in bigger maps, more complex maps, or even a return to the multi-army system is a mystery to me.
Whatever it is, I want it to be done right.
Low, because that would require effort.
The only way I see them going back to FE4's system is if they just outright remade FE4

It has nothing to do with FE4 map/campaign design, fucking retard

Same. I wish they'd drop the otaku fanservice focus of late, and just go back to making good SRPGs.

Well, they progressing with this
Marrying aside(I don't know why people think it's selfinsert or something, you need to be a brain damaged to selfinsert as corrin) awakening and fates were less otaku pandering comared to the RD
I can honestly say this as a long fan of series

Oh, you mean it has nothing to do with FE4, the one Fire Emblem notorious for having the biggest maps in the franchise with each having a fuck ton of objectives making each chapter last hours more than any chapter from the other entries?

No, I meant that

Are you brain damaged? How do huge maps and multiple objectives have nothing to do with FE4, the game with the biggest maps and the biggest number of objectives per chapter in the series?

not him but every FE4 map was about castle capture, so in terms of a main objective, FE4 lacks variety. I feel that you were intending to focus more on "multiple things to address within the map", such as saving villages/recruiting people.

I said multiple objectives, not varied objectives. Having to split your army to capture, and subsequently defend multiple castles in the same huge map, having tons of villages to save and visit, tons of characters to recruit, etc.
It might have lacked variety, but it made up in sheer scope.
