The rest of the games steadily made movement and moves in general worse and worse to add more subsystem bullshit. Some of them weren't that bad, but in the end it sorta diluted the games. Also, the generic systems (and some bugs) in it made the tiers surprisingly tight.

Also, best overall character designs by far. Later games have a few standouts and cool new characters like Hilde, but otherwise the costumes kept getting dumber and more anime.
