And no, it's not shit because it's an Action RE. It's shit because it's a fucking disjointed flip-floppy mess, with a spastic camera and set pieces so intrusive it makes The Order 1886 blush. It's like Capcom saw everything terrible about post-Uncharted 2 era game design and said "We'll put that in our game!". I love RE6. Although I always want horror over action, I still enjoyed the stories and how they intertwined, Leon and Chris showdown and the whole Raccoon City all over again really brought it all together for me.

Things like how Leons campaign just has a never ending barrage of boss fights at the end.

Chris and Pierce with the giant monster Haos I believe which was interrupted and we never got to see exactly what it would have become.

The Ustanak that just keeps coming back and finally gets demolished.

Not to forget the crazy bodyhorror boss and tone of Adas campaign.

Mercenaries and collection was well fleshed out and enjoyable.

I know many really hate this game, I don't know, I just get everything I want in this game and I love the mutation and chrysalis tone of it. Everything comes together and ties in, on a massive scale.

RE7s main house and a few places after were big locations to explore and felt like you were truly mastering the layout by finding all the hidden secrets and going to places with all the gear needed to fight the monsters you couldn't take on before.

Sadly 7 couldn't keep that all the way to the end and became very linear at the last half.
I wish capcom made the whole game like the house and have it be one big place to explore that's when the game truly shines.

Kinda both of these. I had trouble even getting into the game but later on it's pretty much the best Resi has to offer albeit in first-person.

Actually that's not entirely true, first-person doesn't do combat too many favours, the boss fights in my opinion were kind of easy. That and enemy variety is mostly bosses, molded, molded, molded, molded and beeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

Not true. In 5 some are faster so you lose less time when you do them. Some are "breakers" and prevent the target from going into plaga-mode but take longer to execute (and thus cost you more time). You tend to shoot arms to set up a level 3, and shoot legs and attack from the front to perform sweeping attacks that hit surrounding target, or go for headshots for the fastest kill (but this has a higher chance of creating plagas and dropping combo).

In 6 the best strategy is

1. Stand set distance away from mob
2. Wait for mob to telegraph counter-able move
3. Counter move
4. Get 10 seconds

There's no downsides to counters and you should do them every time. Also in 6 you can't do melee attacks from your partner's opening shots. This is a downgrade in COOP straight out.

Also in 5 wesker has unique mechanics no one else has. Dash + knee are fucking fun as hell to use.

Nigga go watch a 5 mercs perfect run. You go around the map getting all the hidden weapons and time boosts then focus only on killing everything as quickly as possible before you run out of time. It's almost the same formula as 6 minus the hidden guns.
In 6 counters are only an instant kill for specific enemies which is what you get the time for and there's shit you don't get any prompts for like the gun zombies and spitters.

You flat out lied. Doing physical kills for 5 seconds a piece actually tacks on time and is a slower but more appropriate way to do better (get a higher score). Since the time left affects your score you want to increase it by doing as many physical kills as possible. That is not the "fastest way" to do it. Sorry you're so wrong.

Too many enemies have guns, that's my main gripe with this game. I actually enjoyed Leon's campaign the best because zombies were more fun to fight because they don't have fucking guns, but everyone else's campaign, holy shit. It doesn't help that the game still gives you survival amounts of ammo with Contra levels of enemies flooding the arenas, it wouldn't be nearly as bad if you had a ton of ammo so you could just go willynilly at it, but you actually have to take cover and carefully plan your shots so you don't waste ammo.

Oh yeah, and the cover system is ass on some control schemes. I was using the one that's most similar to RE4, and it works fine for regular play but makes using cover awkward as fuck to the point that I didn't bother.

Still not true, ranged enemies will fuck you in the ass if you try to camp. Revolver zombies will stun you with 1 shot. Machine gun zombies and javo will stun you with enough shots too. Anything that charges like the big c-virus things or the fat zombies will also fuck you up.

The game is a score attack mode. One of the modifiers that adds to score is time left. You increase time left by doing as many physical kills as quickly as you can. Simply murdering the mobs will not get you the best score. If this is some arbitrary "perfect" some player came up with then I don't give a fuck because it's not legit since it doesn't use the built-in scoring system.

The only stages with hidden weapons is the ship deck and it has a few rocket launchers and a grenade launcher. These are because of the blue chainsaw majinis and how they have two death forms. No other stages have significant hidden weapons.

Except it is. The gun enemies are not a majority of the enemies and let's be frank, their presence already makes the game worse than 5. The majority of them can still be countered for the best effect. The game is still mindless compared to 5 if you're playing by the rules and going for a legit high score within the system itself.
