You'll still probably enjoy Euro Truck more. Also there are lots of mods.

American truck is only 3 desert states so there's long stretches of highway that are empty. Euro truck is pretty much all of Western Europe including UK. The DLC's open up Scandinavia, Poland, Czech, Hungary, and South of France

Yes, if you own the game you can download TrucksMP, which has multiplayer for American Truck and Euro Truck. The servers are way more popular on Euro though. Thousands of people on the same server.

I don't think you can play online though if yer a pirate.
