Nips want arcade games over sims. It's a shame because I think the closest thing we got was Rise from the Ashes, which was almost two decades ago. You'd think with all of the new material coming out for UC lately there'd be a surge of interest in more grounded games, but apparently not because it seems like nothing but fighting games with the occasional SD Gundam come out anymore. Not to say I don't enjoy the other games, but some more variety would be nice.

Titans are easier to get on the ground considering most operations are handled from the fleet above. I don't look up that much in Titanfall 2 but I can confirm that you can see battleships flying overhead in T1.
Titans can be launched out of a cannon at the planet, so they can be deployed in a few seconds compared to getting tanks on the ground.
Titans are also a lot more common because the militia used them for farming before the war.
