>want to play a proper tank simulator but we have is steel beasts for over a hundred bucks
>meanwhile flight simulators are a dime a dozen
why lads

Because iron casket cremation simulators are not a very interesting concept.
>>385609427
Because airplanes are fast and capable of exciting maneuvering and tanks aren't.
Looks comfy for me

Simulators don't run on the concept of "fast and exciting" you dunce they're supposed to be slow and methodical. Webm unrelated.
>>385610289
And conscript cannon fodder simulators are? I mean we get shit like red orchestra and the like.
Because there are more autistic aviationfags than autistic armor fags
>>385609427
Why don't you play World of Tanks? I know it's not a proper simulator but it's something. War Thunder also has a tank warfare mode
>>385611223
Because my autism demands properly modelled internal views. Also WoT's concealment mechanic can right well go fuck itself.
>>385611008
Tanks also have a crew of several people so you'll either have to autistically micromanage everything or rely on retarded bots to play if you want full simulation.
>>385611445
I guess this really is one of the main reasons, flight sims are much easier to make because you really only have to design shit for one or two guys at most, while tanks can't operate efficiently without a crew of at least 3.
>>385609427
Perhaps try Steel Armor: Blaze of War, I don't know how it holds up simulation wise against Steel Beasts though. As I've never played either, just had a mild interest and checked out some videos.
>>385611637
That looks kinds cool actually, might get that once it's on sale since I'm a poorfag.I don't know shit about what passes for a quality simulator either, I've just been interested in tanks since forever because they're cool as fuck and wanna know how they actually operate.
>>385612241
I think you're in luck then, I've heard good things about its simulation too. And another positive thing I guess, if you care about it, is that it had good graphics.
I've seen another anon post screenshots of it, but never saved them. I especially like the night vision aspect of it, and night combat in general, seeing the tracers flying around and bouncing off of the ground.

Nice, that looks great. Seems like it has something of a strategy element as well with the maps and whatnot which is always welcome.
>>385609427
Flight sims require HOTAS controllers and headtracking hardware that can easily go past $200 just starting off, and the actually realistic flight sims are well past $60 per plane (DCS, X-Plane 11)
>>385609427
Red Orchestra in a way.
>>385609427
because reality of tank warfare is dull.
>>385613113
I was referring mostly to how the quantity of flight sims is much more thank tank sims. But yeah if you really want to get into them sims will all cost more than your average game anyway.
