I don't buy cosmetics because I pirate my games so I haven't spent anything on gaming in ages, but I know some people that are rich and will spend hundreds every fucking month to buy the new dota arcana skins, the legendary LoL skins, and stattrack weapons in CSGO.

Plus, people spend money on all kinds of things. I can assure you that in your life you spent money on things people that buy cosmetics probably didn't.
