I hit a plateau on my tekken 7 yoshi.

Not getting any better, not getting any worse. Can't get past Brawler in ranked.

Feels quite bad. I just don't have the time to get better and learn all the other characters to defend.

Fighting games are dead on PC, I don't purchase games with Season Passes, updates to fighting games usually cost full price/are delayed releases on PC compared to their console counterparts, and none of them seem all that interesting to me.

Because I no longer have friends. And after 4~ years of playing against nothing but people from online chatrooms or randoms, I came to the conclusion that I actually don't so much care when I don't also care about the people I am playing with.

The big realization came after I finally bested some big shot from one of the IRC channels that I frequented. The guy is honestly great at fighting games and generally better than I was. But I after years of playing the game I eventually reached a point where I not only won against the dude, but won a few matches over. That day, I was winning.

But thing is. While I may respect the dude and while we weren't on bad terms with each other. It's not as if we were friends or anything. And I realized that despite my victory, I didn't so much care. It wasn't nearly as fun as when I played against my actual friends.

And since then I haven't had nearly as big of an interest in fighting games. I still purchase most of them though but I shamelessly admit that I barely even play them nowadays.
