So beating stormblood two weeks after launch I've been feeling burnt out on my tank. I've been having fun leveling my first DPS and Healer though. Should I worry about the late game 70 Grind? I already missed the first cap on creation and I haven't done any of the new EX primals or raids but I did get full creation gear.

Fuck that, it flows very intuitively and there's always something you can do. Early on if you get to the Blizz 3 regen stage, unless Thunder needs re-upping there's several seconds of downtime waiting for your mana to regen. The new priority system mostly eliminates that. Love what they did with BLM, fuck keeping old Enochian up.

You know the drill. Get to level cap, then engage in the gear treadmill as much as you care to, then you're done and it's time for a break or an alt. I will say the classes play differently enough it's worth trying things you think you might like, there's likely a few that suit your playstyle perfectly.

I just got my SAM to 70 and I've been wondering what's the go to materia for now?
I've been checking out SAMs that I see around towns but I keep seeing different things, some go all in on direct hit followed by determination and others go for skill speed

What are some high demand mats to farm for at 70?

I liked BLM even in HW. I kinda miss old fire IV since it hit harder, but now we get to cast fire IV faster and more often. The new aoe options are fucking awesome and the most fun I'm having of all the caster jobs. We get more tools for mobility, which is great considering how much movement SB content involves. New enochian is alright, it's not that much easier to maintain since old enochian allowed you to drop AF/UI for half a second whereas with new enochian you can't do that, but at least dropping enochian or getting your rotation disrupted is now just a minor annoyance rather than something that fucks you up for a minute.

Overall really happy with BLM, but I was always happy with BLM.

You have to be fucking up beyond belief to run out of MP on RDM. I can raise both healers, mana shift one of them, and still be back to almost full as long as I have Lucid Dream ready to go. If nobody dies, I don't even need to use Lucid Dream.

I enjoy it way more than SMN or RDM.
At the very least, it feels good. Big numbers, big explosions, lots of aoes, triplecast on a short cooldown, teleporting back to your ley lines whenever they're up, foul hitting hard as fuck, and just being a burst-damage wizard in general.

What race do you play and how satisfied are you with it?

I was debating Roegadyn or Au Ra male, went with Au Ra. Still wondering if I made the right choice. I think Roegadyn are overall cooler as a race but have a goofy run with tiny steps. Au Ra have mostly better animations I feel, but are somewhat silly looking and have way too wide hips. Do Roegadyn DRK/RDM look retarded? Those are the two classes I'm playing.

Fantasia'd from a chocolate Raen to a femidlander, because as much as I liked the lizard racial aesthetics the wonky chargen options and constant clipping bugged the shit out of me. So now I'm a Hyur Ninja; I'm terrible at playing mDPS, but I think she's a perfect fit for the game's narrative and I got her face good enough that she looks like a custom-made NPC.

I got up to the Royal Menagerie yesterday and was dumped next to these two as I was waiting in the queue. Now I may be a 30th percentile Ninja but my character is head-and-shoulders above the rest of the female midlanders in terms of avoiding the pitfalls of chargen, like face 5's mouthbreathing, heterochromia, ugly facepaints, etc.

Female Au'ra. Formerly a catboi. I like my petite girls, and I got really tired of never seeing a decent looking Fem-Au'ra (people 99% of the time overdo it with the special snowflake features like limbal rings). Hence I made a character design I liked best, and I have yet to see another that looks better to me. Similar story for when I made my catboi way back.
