Post retarded video game mechanics in this thread.
>Your drop rate for items is determined by your character name
>First person stealth
>you can only 100% the game if you press "X" 5 times during specific moments of a certain cutscene
>game only has 2 gender options to choose from

>Obscure ingredient one
>Obscure ingredient two
>MIX TO DO 5% DMG TO OBSCURE MONSTER 2
>food/drink mechanics
>both commodities are plentiful in game
>'survival bar' decay has to be fast to compensate
>forced to eat like an American and drink 10 servings of water a day to survive

if youre talking about section IDs, i personally like them.
>its very easy to sequence skip and accidentally cancel yourself out of the true ending, thus forcing you to use a glitch on the door to the true ending
>weapons break after around 10 swings
>potential drops are tied to time of day when you created your character
>You must lose the battle but the game doesn't tell you this so you waste all of your items
>Game auto saves right after this
>cant jump or climb over 2 foot tall walls
>4 foot vertical jump from standing

They were shit. I can see what they were trying to do at first when planning it but they failed at the execution. If you got the wrong ID for your role then you would be severely disadvantaged. This led to mass cheating and hacking to get around this system.

>think this would encourage avoiding combat
>JK it's actually a massive combat focused game
>just forces you to cycle through junk weapons

>make an indestructible rpg character
>Can't even smash through locked door and has to find the key
>You spend time and money leveling up a JRPG character who later leaves the party or dies
> Well, actually any playable mechanics of a JRPG
>Game has random QTE out of nowhere that lasts for only 1 second, missing it affects the ending

>get your friend with the right ID to host instead

If you didn't play online then you were fucked. Also even worse if you played the game in it's prime back in 2001 where people couldn't just go online om their dial up computer and find a massive wiki full of info.
