In most fighting games, I tend to favor characters with high mobility and like my main, I enjoy characters with evasive options.

Nah I live in a 3rd world country hardly anyone play fighting games here but kof is quite popular in little communities my whole fighting game love started in ggpo we always played them but never knew people played them online sf4 was a big deal

We can already rule out that you don't like grapplers then since they all tend to be slow.

If you like character like Guile or Chun-Li you like charge characters. If you like ones with a DP and a Fireball you like shotos. There's tons of other niche stuff like mixup heavy characters or characters that are primarily built to zone, and sometimes characters don't fit a specific archetype

It's entirely possible not to have a specific type of character you prefer. Most people find their type by maining different characters over different series. Through that, you find similarities in the playstyles that you may lean towards in future character choices.

I've been getting people into GG lately, now I just need to convince them to play online. I love Jack-o and Sol, but I try Baiken sometimes. I play a Raven/Elphelt player often, so I kinda get what they do. Guilty Gear is fucking great.
