They removed half of the towns, changed the story, changed character interactions, watered down puzzles, resorted to more enemy recolors than the original, removed a ton of equips, condensed hp restoring into one potion, restore health on level up and if you somehow lose the game offers to level you up twice on the spot so you can try again.

The final boss of FFXIII-3 had the ultimate attacks of a bunch of other FF final bosses, including Sephiroth's, except unlike in FF7 it really does destroy the solar system and it doesn't get magically restored afterwards as if nothing happened.

You'll have to watch or play the last couple of hours of the game for that, it's not a turn-based game and the attacks are spread out over multiple phases and cutscenes. For Sephiroth's attack specifically, he uses an even stronger version called Hypernova during one part of the battle, but since it's in real time it's a relatively quick animation. Then the solar system gets fully destroyed in a cutscene after the battle.

Great game that one, sadly overlooked because it's a sequel to a shitty one.
