Undertale's characters are super hit or miss, I think. Sans hits the most people, but the others are a more subjective (I never liked Toriel or Alphys). For you I guess just Sans hit.

except skyrim IS bad. nothing to do with it trying to be a mature game or whatever. The magic in the game is not fun, color palette is an unsaturated blob of 3 or 4 colors, quests aren't exciting, dungeons are a straight line, enemies are extremely easy, I could go on. Game just isn't fun. You could make it somewhat interesting with mods but it takes too long to set up and get running bug free for me to even give a shit. Skyrim made me vow to never spend $60 on a video game again.

Either English wasn't your native language (in which case it wasn't the games' fault, I can't play Japanese-only RPGs) or you were illiterate (basic literacy is needed in most games, which you should have learned by 10). In both cases, it wasn't bad design.

Just don't get it. I had a lot of fun with Dark Souls 2, about the same as every other souls game. It never "felt" bad, movement never bothered me, hitboxes we're dodgy in 1 or 2 instances I can remember. I just don't get all the hate.
