My "really good rpg" itch is back, and i've completed gothic1/2 risen multiple times. Ive also completed divinity OS, which i consider almost an equivalent in quality.
what can i do to experience these games as new again? mods? or is there any other game that comes close?

Nwn used to be golden with all the custom modules and private servers.. problem with it though that all the fighting classes are boring af.
It's only interesting to play spellcasters.

Ive never witnessed it. played it recently (one year ago maybe) and as already stated never really finished it but red about some interestingstuff like persisting online world turning this game into something akin to an mmo. Ironicly i had the most fun playing the sword and bord class the most since i needed to activly evade aoe attacks from mages/magic creatures. I think i stopped playing since the only really interesting and atmospheric part was the woods level and all the reading didnt really got to me on any level. In fact, I dont remember a single line of text and only a few interesting story parts and dungeon bits.
Divinity OS 2 it's in early access and comming out in ~45 days

already beat risen. said it in the OP. and no, gothic is NOT meant to be played with a mouse. you could get a mod for it, but trust me, keyboard is all you need.
