As much as I would miss Phoenix, I honestly think that should had been how SoJ ended. Keep Apollo out of the plot and have Phoenix resolve the whole Khurain business. Would had made far more sense, especially given Phoenix's words in 6-2 that he was "leaving the office to Apollo", only taken more literal and longterm.

And while I'm wishing for retcons, axe that retarded "Oh Rayfa's parents were actually Dhurke and Amara so everything's okay and she can be queen!" twist. That was stupid as hell.

Phoenix seems competent as a mentor from third-person perspective because you don't see his thoughts. When you play as Phoenix and ignore all his thought dialogue and just focus on his spoken dialogue he comes off a bit more competent too since he's presenting fact after fact in court.

Playable Athena in general was fine in 5-3, she felt like she actually backpedalled as a character in 6-4 if anything. Keep Blackquill as the prosecutor and just have her assistant be Trucy. Or occasionally Phoenix, he's actually a pretty cool backseat overseer type guy the few times he's in that role (like at the beginning of 5-3 for example if we're talking about Athena, where he helped her through her first crime scene investigation)
