Dark Souls 3 put me to sleep, but I took a chance and bought it, haven't played anything else the last 3 days.

Its pretty damn good.

If you like the shitty setting, ugly armor design, stupid boss design and terrible performance then go for it

The only bad thing about BB is the poor performance. The game is excellent if you enjoy action rpgs. Shame its a PS4 exclusive.

Bloodborne is the best game this entire decade, you should absolutely play it. Performance sucks and it's not available on pc even though it really should be, but eventually we'll be able to emulate it in like a decade.

I'm a gigantic coward who can't play proper horror games but I was able to love Bloodborne. Some areas and enemies unnerved me so badly I couldn't handle long play sessions but I think the fear added to the experience rather than detracted from it.

Went back to BB for two weeks after playing DS3 for over half a year
>absolutely loved it on my first two playthroughs

>combat feels way too floaty
>can't run around enemies when locked on
>roll distance feels off
>general bullshit moves on certain enemies
>even with the DLC, too few weapon variety, a lot of fun weapons locked after some of the hardest bosses in the game
>pvp is an abhorent clusterfuck with the PS4 netcode, let alone 40% of players having a subpar internet connection
>even co-oping is a pain as hosts are literally slide-showing through the level at times

In DS3 there is so much more variety, I can play a one-shot sorcerer invader build, a try hard dual strength-build or a pure faith medic-build for co-op. The fashion is also much better, fuck ten different variations of the same edgelord trench coat

I don't really like playing horror games (literally played Outlast for five minutes before alt-f4ing and never touching it again), but Bloodborne elicits a feeling much closer to adrenaline/exhilaration than raw fear.

That said, I've played up til Rom and haven't seen any significant frame rate drops (or any, for that matter) the way they've been described by others. Is this a more apparent issue later in the game?

I platinumed it in 10 days, never having played a Souls game before and going in blind.

If you enjoy linear games, with combat akin to what you will have seen 20 years ago and having your hand held every step of the way, then you'll love this.

Anyone have any wembs or gifs of those strange glowing ghosts in the chalice dungeons who won't even bother you unless you attack them first? The first time I saw one around a corner I just sat still watching it for a long time and then targeted it and dashed and cut it to ribbons as fast as possible.

Bloodborne is the type of horror I would recommend to people who have a hard time handling "terror", aka horror in most games

I don't consider bloodborne a horror game at all,but the atmosphere is very creepy and sometimes the enemies gives you jumps scares

And the ambient sound...for example in the hemwick charnel lane,you only hear woman's screaming and laughing like maniacs...or the music in the hypogean gaol is very spooky
