depends what flashcart you use, all i've seen just put a save in the same folder named after the rom, in which case you'd just have to rename it
you could also just try renaming it to whatever your current rom is called
i use a DSTWO and haven't had issues so far, but since some really cheap flashcarts have trouble even running vanilla TWEWY i expect people to have problems eventually

Don't worry too much about matching cards and shit with Shiki, but do try to dodge once you unlock the move. Just keep mashing left/right whenever you need to focus on Neku and things should work out. Or, build Neku to be spammy (lots of slash/tap/empty space pins) and you can can focus on the card minigame going while flailing around.
Light puck doesn't need to be focused on either. The way it's balanced, you need to build sync rate with good food to make juggling it practical anyways - the multiplier just decays too quickly otherwise. As long as both fighters are finishing their combos it'll get passed around.
You'll eventually unlock hard mode, but it's best saved for postgame anyways, don't feel pressured to use it yet.

By now you should have a heal boosting pin, and possibly one that boosts the number of times you can use your heal. Pair those 2/3 with the easiest to execute pins you have so you can focus on dodging. If you're talking about the boss battles, iirc Koki and Uzuki have their own fusion/light puck mechanic that you will need to play around
