Anyone tried the paper mario mod "Pro mode" yet? Apparently

I wanted to try it but n64 emulation is such a mess. the battle ui didn't even load in

I toyed around with it a bit, the enemy composition is differet, more healing mobs, higher dmg, higher hp, they target the most damaged target more often. The mod maker claims there is a boss rush and other challenges too.

I've played plenty of difficult games, that's not the issue. I watched the trailer and the AI didn't seem any different, unless you mean the enemies targeting whoever has lower HP more now. Reading that YT comment of someone trying to get a first strike but ending up receiving an instant KO instead doesn't sound good to me.

Never really had good experience with mods that were supposed to make games more difficult anyway, any improvements to AI that they claim were usually wonky and everything else was just adding more enemies or giving them more HP/damage.

thats pretty much all i've noticed doing the first chapter. There are a few bugs like koopa jr. attacking when he's dead and a text box staying up in one of those psuedo trial modes, but all in all it seems cool.
