The dev's original vision isn't always good. Look at Skyrim. Most of the armour in the game that isn't the lowest level stuff is absolute shit. The hand-to-hand combat is barely satisfactory, strangers talk too much, the children are horrible, etc. Skyrim is way better when all that is fixed.
