Rifle shaman is one of the most fun builds, combine with soldiers for procs or whatever really.

Shaman swarm build with occultist for maximum bleed. Kills everything the first few hours and makes farming easy.

It doesn't, neither does DS2.
But some of expansion files and functionality to use them is built into the Steam versions and you can get the missing files from Steamguides section for both games.

It was either an Aether expansion of a Ch'thon expansion and Ch'thon was already heavily featured in the endgame so it makes sense to be Aether, the other factions in the game are pretty much irrelevant.
