yes it's great. The shooting mechanics are probably slighly dated though.

RTCW is super fun actually, and I liked 09 but I never finished it so I can't say for sure.

RTCW is fantastic. 09 is simply ok; not good or bad, but still perfectly playable. It's obviously going to be more fun if you're a fan of the series.

Only one thing to do. DON'T GET THE PS2 VERSION OF RTCW. The other two are better.
