Final fantasy 12 is the most underrated.
Since it got a HD release maybe it gained something

In general or on this board? Because I can think of plenty of games which are seldom talked about anywhere else. Also there are plenty of games hated here which I believe don't deserve it.

As a massive FFVfag I don't think it's that underrated, it's just that a fuckload of people haven't really played it in the first place, either because they haven't heard anyone talk about it so they assume it doesn't matter, or because they've heard the plot was simplistic so they thought "yeah no this isn't for me" (even though most of them were/would be fine with IV, go figure).

Yeah pretty much, I honestly really don't think the plot in IV is much more complex or interesting yet people are all over that game.

I prefer IV myself because it doesn't have as much grinding, but I agree the story isn't that much more complex if at all than V.

Not really, I find the combat in Shadow of Rome far more satisfying, probably due to the animation and extreme violence, like seeing a female with a severed arm and leg hop on her remaining one to hit you with her own arm, that stuff never gets old. Shame it was sullied by the stealth sections.
