PS+ only affects 'direct' multiplayer stuff. Like, the photo quests in Gravity Rush 2, Revenants/Clans in Nioh and everything in Let It Die don't need PS+.

Stuff like summoning in DaS2/3/BB, trading in World of Final Fantasy and co-op in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 require PS+.
