The Witcher games were pretty good, from the looks of it Gwent is forming to be decent too, GoG has been generally a positive influence on the market, their business practices have been fine and the only major fuck-ups were the silly pirate thing (which was largely not their fault) and the very poorly handled downgrade controversy. That is actually a decent record for a company of their size and prominence.

That said, it's going to be up to Cyberpunk to determine if these guys are really worth their salt or not.

My personal favorite studios are Icepick Lodge, Wube and Croateam right now. Wube might be more of a sentimental pick, since they only have one game. Croateam just does consistently amazing job and Icepick Lodge are..., well the only people I'd seriously consider high artists in the industry.

Supergiant seem kinda cool, though transistor was a bit of a letdown and I haven't played enough of Pyre to really judge it properly.

Respawn entertainment can make some pretty fun shit but it's multiplayer so it's kinda hard to compare

TW3 gameplay does get kind of bland but god damn is their world immersive. Can't wait to see what they do with cyberpunk.

That being said; CDPR's development team is garbage. They can't code for shit, their games are always fucking glitchy messes with shit gameplay all around, and the fucking company was almost shut down before they even got off the ground BECAUSE they didn't know how to program or write anything. They're shitty and their games are always unfinished and unpolished, AND now they want you to pay extra for little sidestoried where supposedly the writers didn't write a complete shitshow.

Supergiant came out of fucking nowhere with three good games in row. Bastion and Transistor were short as fuck, but that doesn't make them bad in my opinion. Pyre seems to be a 10+ hour game for a change. Greg Kasavin, who I remember from Gamespot days when he was the resident chubby reviewer, also works for them.
