ITT: vidya tropes you like
>main protagonists are brother and sister
>final boss
>everyone you've helped comes to cheer you on or get in on the action
Shits always so hype when it haooens
>>385397029
Main villain and protagonist are related.
>Main protagonist is brother main villain is sister
>antagonist from previous game comes back as a playable character
>more evil than the enemies you fight
>>385397029
>beat the game
>credits thank you for playing
>>385397029
>protagonist is a black female
I wish more games had this.
>>385397390
Play fallout or any create your own character game
Also
>beyond good and evil
>You have to kill your mentor.
>>385397350
F.E.A.R.?
>Hitler is a bad guy
>>385397390
i like it too. i downloaded skyrim mods just to play as a thick black girl.
i think only haydee does it canonically.
>boss has a final form
>you also have a final form
>protagonist is actually the antagonist, and we just see things from his corrupt/distorted point of view.
>Racial/ cultural clichés in Strategy games
>>385398991
false protagonist, thats the word i was looking for.
>main character from first game comes back is the final boss in the sequel
>main character's family is present throught the game
>>385397029
>multiple protagonists
>plot twist is that they're all the same person who created multiple personas because he is mentally ill
>>385397029
Do they fuck? That's an important question.
>>385399061
>>385398991
stuff is just better when you see things from the pov of the bad guy. Take breaking bad, from the outside perspective, walter looks like an evil maniac, but from his point of view you start to sympathize with him.
>>385398329
It's best when you're also not his murderer
>main protagonists are boy and girl
>it's a love story
>>385397368
>game uses "thank you for playing" as a massive fuck you to the player
>enemies are non-human
>it is slowly revealed that they were once humans or human test subjects that were exposed to horrific experiments
>>385399364
>it's a heavily cliched love story

You don't get punished for beating down party members who get uppity.
>>385397212
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyFQVZ2h0V8
>First major villain comes back to help your party and be comic relief
>>385399531
cliche but good.made tragic in the second game. ruined in the third.
>>385398991
name 5 (FIVE) games that do this
>>385397029
Fallen Heroes.
It's cheating, because they automatically have a sympathetic motivation - wanting to stop something or someone from fucking shit up, and you're just fighting what's left of them.
Bonus points if they outright achieve their goals and there's not much they could've done to avoid it. Tragedy is a writer's cheat sheet to a compelling narrative, I swear, even if it goes cartoonishly overboard like Nier or most YA fiction series because then it becomes compelling in the the comedic way.

OFF
Spec Ops the Line
Lisa the Painful
Heavy Rain
The first 2zero escape games
>team up with bad guys to fight even badder guys
>siblings
And your sister is retarded
>antagonist fights you for manly warrior ideals
I think Sam turned me gay (no homo)
>>385400165
>The first 2 zero escape games
only played 999 but Junpei isn't the antagonist
>protagonist's twin sister is a retarded bitch who doesn't seem to care about others and is content to live as a parasite for the rest of her life
haha
>ally that helped you through the whole game was actually conspiring against you and is the final boss
Protagonist is an ass and you know it.
>Fight an evil doppleganger of yourself
>His moves are like yours with a twist or he's generally better than you in some way
>>385401135
>he also has terrible fashion sense
>>385400692
you foolDid you not notice the bottom screen was Akane? Sure it might have been bit of a reach to call her the protagonist but you were in the antagonist's perspective
>starting weapon can be turned into the ultimate weapon
>>385397029
>antagonist joins your team
I just wanna be a smooth talking motherfucker.
>>385400717
do you need to talk about something?
>actual main villain is the main villain's right hand
>Protagonist turns evil
>Protagonist stays good, but decides that the end justifies the means and is willing to do some evil to achieve his good goals
Shame it happens so very rarely.
>>385400612
Speaking of this:
>Protagonist is autistic
needs to be more of it tbqh
>>385397029
I really like defeat means friendship
>>385400612
>Initial D soundtrack
b-but I like Eurobeat
>>385399201
>but from his point of view you start to sympathize with him
You missed the entire point of the show apparently. You're supposed to sympathize with his family and friends as they get dragged to hell by his retarded antics and decision making.
>>385399453
>>385401940
>Low INT Fallout playthroughs
>game has beautiful 'congratulations' screen
>>385402490
>game ends with "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE SUPER PLAYER!"

>>385404920
Borderlands 2
>>385404920
HL1 and Bioshock 1 are my fav examples
>>385404920
Call of Duty MW2 IIRC
>>385404920
Halo 1 and 2 would often have the covenant and the flood fighting each other in the late game.
