Because it's F2P. Low barrier of entry = more retards. It's the only reason I don't like it more than Overwatch. I'd gladly play Paladins if the Spanish F2P faggots didn't spend the entire game feeding or trying to figure out what a keyboard is since they've clearly never seen one.
