The processor is extremely weak (this applies to the Pro as well), the load times for almost every game is not remotely acceptable, the fact that Bloodborne is exclusive- and insultingly the only exclusive, horrible fan noises, poorly programmed system menu (really slow), a touchpad gimmick that is not only useless but in fact gets in the way if you find yourself accidentally touching it, extremely overpriced games 4-5 years after release, a really restrictive system for accessing media, a pointless "pro" version that can only do 4k30fps with a handful of games, lots of system software crashes (admittedly not in-game, only in the system menu), a system design only second to the ps3 in the "what the actual fuck" category (there's a separate mobile computer inside the PS4 to handle the system menu and browser. I'm not making this shit up) and a completely meaningless "share" button. That shitty motion control is still present, despite never being used. Most people probably don't even know that motion control is still in PS4 controllers.

If you look at it now, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, and Killzone Shadow Fall outsold all the Forza games, Horizon also outsold Gears 4. Even Driveclub outsold Forza 6. Not sure what that's supposed to prove anyway, that the most popular console appeals to the widest range of players? That despite PS4 users being the most varied, the PS4 is still the best platform to sell an exclusive? The PS4 has ~2x as many 1 million + sellers as the Xbox One.

The PS4 is an average console that has been successful primarily due to the incompetence of its main competition in the home console market. Upon buying a PS4 and using it, I realised that it is in no way a remarkable product; on the contrary, I was surprised by just how mediocre an experience it provided.

It's just moving the goalposts.
They can't say the hardware isn't selling well because it is. They can't say "well but no games are selling" because they already announced an attach rate of 8:1. So now they're left at "yeah, but most of those are just CoD and FIFA".

It doing so well means more games get made, and then those games get ported to Xbone and PC because porting costs all of $2 now so everyone wins in the end. I don't get why so many people think it's a zero sum game.
