LoL has stagnated since Riot hasn't done anything new in years. It's always just more of the same, so there's only so much you can do with one map and various shitty patches. The events and balance will never reach the quality of Burning Tides ever again.

It definitely has, Riot had a chance to keep things interesting but they've never learned from anything that went wrong. The gameplay is still incredibly barebones with same matchups over and over again, forced metas, simple objectives and reduced counterpick potential, so of course it's going to get boring sooner or later.
What is there to create drama or joke about? Fucking nothing. All the community can do is complain about the state of balance in their shitty Twitch stream hoping the game actually goes somewhere but it never does.
