ITT: Greatest moments in vidya
Personal opinions, of course.
It could be a cutscene, action sequence or any moment you think is awesome.
Starting with some mgs4.
We can reach image limit with only Metal Gear Saga.

True
When snake meets big boss, only game to ever cry to, it felt like i lived my whole life to witness that cutscene,
F

pretty fucking good
This ending was kino
>>385305436
>still no way to play AC4 without massive slowdowns or graphical glitches on PCSX2
>>385305726
Software rendering mode.
>>385305436
Imagine Bandai blessing us with a AC1-5 remaster collection for PS4
I'd buy 3
>>385305637
kino means cinema idiot
>>385305763
It still has slowdowns while using cockpit mode or tpp mode.
>>385305825
so... fitting for metal gear
A lot of people will say Ludwig, but Lady Maria was the coolest boss in the game.
I can't wait for this to get ported to switch and people actually start playing this game
>>385306036
>>385306018
>20 seconds apart
Bro

>>385305825
You just proved me right
>>385305726
>>385305797
hope they dont fuck up AC7, looks p good so far though.
>>385306036
Play asura's wrath, it's twice as absurd and over the top as w101.
The final mission in the main DLC for AW is the same thing as the finale of w101 with the laser, except it's an entire mission and makes 101 look tame in comparsion
>>385306136
>This shit is still not on PC
This was cool the first time until you realize they made the boss an absolute pushover.
>>385306175
It's not comparable to the build up W101 does in its last bunch of missions together. But that's just my opinion, of course.
>>385306130
>tfw PS3 emulation has greater progress than 360
At this point I'll really have to buy 360 just to play AC6.
>>385306210
The writing in this sequence is pure kino. Too bad Yhorm is fun to fight only the first time. At least the soundtrack is pure ear porn
>>385305429
This is good, isn't it?
https://youtu.be/z3vn00an-24?t=43
Fucking Kojimbos rollercoaster
>>385305436
<<So, have you found a reason to fight yet? Buddy?>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8fU4NuxZW8
It's funny how this is my favorite game but no moment in particular really jumps out as "the greatest", it's just a really solid experience all the way through.
>>385305867
A lot of people will say Lady Maria, but Orphan was the coolest boss in the game.
Also Friede>Maria, and Gael>Orphan.
Maybe not the greatest, but definitely iconic
You are considerate seeking opinions OP, but you do know you posted the objectively greatest moment in gaming right?
>>385305867
Awful OST.
Too easy.
Friede was a massive improvement over her.
Ludwig is still unsurpassed as far as hype and OST goes.
>>385306613
>the way it transitions through the different games' CQC systems
ABSOLUTELY SOLID
>>385306595
>tfw all those memes when it came out
>>385306613
>cheap fanservice from a game that shouldn't exist
>greatest anything
>>385306670
It was the only way to culminate Solid's adventure
>>385306740
Anything that does exist, should.
I was in awe when I first played this mission
>>385306815
>solids adventures
>mgs3
>solid
Im sorry anon my jimmies are just a bit rustled
It reminded me of that fight.
>>385306932
The entire campaign of that game is amazing. I've been trying to play it again for a while, but it never seems to work.
>>385307020
I know it included an MGS3, but that was for Ocelot and for how he's been dealing with the Snake 'family' all these years and what it all meant for him. The fight is mostly about Solid.
>>385306362
No. That scene was the moment I realized metal gear had been a wild ride, but it was time to get off.
>>385306206
makes me mad as fuck too
>>385306595
this type of level will never be done again
fucking kino
>>385306206
>>385307220
dont worry
soon it wont even matter
>>385307126
The level after that is pure kino boss fight.
>Vergils slashes cover the whole battle field
I really don't get the appeal. I like that it evolves to go through the series but other than that the mechanics are awful. The fight in MGS1 didn't even have that going for it.
>>385307304
why?
Made me laugh at least
>>385307467
Different strokes mate
As a kid who player MGS1 as one of my first few games on PS1, playing 4 was a treat.
The moment you returned to shadow moses without any warning really tugged my nostalgia strings. Mgs2 had the whole recreate shadow moses ploy but to return to it along with the ending theme really was awesome
That and the MGS fight was rad as fuck and never expected it to happen
Seven minutes.
>>385306659
>awful ost
Kill yourself right the fuck now anon
Whoa....
>>385306093
People gave Isaac shit for being loud and angry and generic. But really that's what makes him one of the better horror protagonists ever made.
He's a random space Engineer, just a normal guy who's good at math and maintenance. This was the crowning moment of his character because he does the one thing no other protagonist seems to do and just yells "FUCK THIS BULLSHIT SERIOUSLY!"
>>385306518
Gael has a worse moveset and is yet another flippy humanoid with a clusterfuck of stylistic decisions. He is nowhere near as good.
>>385308065
He is right though, I am a BBfag and her OST goes down the drain once the second phase kick in. From a unique, melodic piece it just goes full chorus cacophony and instantly loses all of its charm.
Even Hotdog has a better theme.
The second Azel fight in God Hand.
>>385306496
The level design was great, the bosses were overall good and the music waskind of weird.Probably my most replayed GBA game
>>385308258
I like hers more, but maybe I'm biased because i almost quit the game because of defiled watchdog
>>385308101
Fallout 3's first view was better for the buildup alone.
>>385308401
Funny, I beat it on my 2nd try because all you really have to do is backstafe and boop his noose.
Defiled Amy took 2-3 days from my life though.
>>385308065
Her OST is by far the weakest piece of DLC soundtrack and one of the reasons i really dislike when Kitamura goes full cacophony mode despite the fact she can also create majestic melodies like that violin solo from Gravetender fight. A mess of random loud as fuck chanting and chaotic music overlaps in a really terrible way.
>>385308101
However you might feel about the rest of the game, seeing this for the first time was kind of amazing and overwhelming at the same time
>>385305637
>pachinko
Fucking Konami
>>385305825
it's fitting for a film series like metal gear.
>>385308496
That is funny, i beat defiled amygdala in 3 or 4 tries. Hotdogs hitboxes are complete bullshit though, shit took me days.
Friede was just fantastic.
Probably my favourite fight in all of Souls.
>>385306036
>a game needs to ported to switch in order to become popular
>>385305868
Titanfall 2 had no right being as good as it was.
I'd love to see that time travel mechanic incorporated into multiplayer.
>>385305046
Finding a Ring World
When I found Sanctuary in vanilla Stellaris, I nearly creamed myself.
This was a really cool twist.
>>385305046
I gotta check this scene again
One of the greatest moments. It trascends the quality of the game and it takes into account everything, the franchise, the characters, and your own personal history with the game
MGS4 and 5 were clusterfucks in their own way but 4 was absolutely redeemed by all these epic showdowns and throwbacks. V lacks that
>>385308771
Yeah she was, and I don't understand the complaints about the multiple phases. First phase is scary until you realise how you're supposed to not get hit, second phase is always the easiest and serves as a buildup, and then, Blackflame Friede is the real deal.
Seeing her airflip with her scythe all over the place while hellfire raisn upon you was so damn intense.
>>385306815
Anything in creation that exists without my knowledge exists without my permission.
>>385308967
Apparently I can get this for free with a new mouse that I kinda need. Is it worth it for the sake of buying a new mouse cause the middle mouse click doesn't work properly, nor do the lights.
>>385309083
woah
>>385309124
The game is amazing, especially if you like Deus Ex, System Shock, or Half-Life.
>>385305046A man chooses
>>385305165
>You're
>>385309189A SLAVE OBEYS
>>385309189
>Andrew Ryan
>A.Ryan
>Aryan
>a man chooses a slave obeys
what did 2k mean by this
>>385307367
This and Gehrman joining the hunt are two of my favorite moments in games ever
>>385309058
>that first chapter
>returning to Shadow Moses
>REX vs RAY
>old men punching eachother
MGS4 was a movie, but it's a movie I love. MGS has always been cinematic, and MGSV did it in the wrong way.
>>385305046
>>385309461
Kojima turned a series of movies into a tv series that was MGSV
>>385309284
It's been so fucking long since I finished Bioshock.
Why did he make you kill him again?
It's far from the greatest moment in vidya, but to this day this scene is special to me.
>>385309854
To show you the truth I guess. That all you are is a slave to someone that recites the lines.
Someone else might give you a better answer than that.
>>385309934
Pretty sure that sums it up. Seems pretty nuts to go that far just to prove a point, but maybe he realizes that rapture is just fucked, and so he wants to go out in style or something.
Just listening to her and a good majority of the game was top notch. The game could have been a complete 11/10 if wasn't rushed and left unfinished.
Did you think we had forgotten?
Did we have forgiven?
How come this hasn't been posted yet?

Real intense moment if it didn't keep getting interrupted by fucking TIE fighters
