Has nobody played this game? I love Zelda but absolutely fucking hated BotW. It's nothing at all like previous entries.

My last Zelda game was Twilight Princess for the GameCube. I didn't like TP, and while I thought BotW was better, I still didn't overly care for it. I enjoyed Skyrim and NieR more.

Switch doesn't have anything I want at the moment (keeping in mind that I already own a Wii U). No interest in MK8D, no interest in ARMS, no interest in Splatoon, and no interest in 3D Mario games (they have all be shit except for 64, which is shit now, but was pretty amazing by the standards at the time).

Not saying it won't be great, but it would be a huge regret if I bought it at launch.

Same here. Got it on Wii U and I'm glad I did it, $60 is way less than $360 + mandatory accessories (case, screen protectors etc)

It's weird how at the launch I was so damn hopeful and defending the 97/100 this crap got after playing for like 5-10 hours, then I left Great Plateau and realized how rushed, empty and uninspired the game was.

I actually stopped enjoying it after 50-60 hours. The Master Sword was a major disappointment followed by the Divine Beasts and the final boss. It had some great parts, the pitch black shrine quest and Lost Woods were two of the best things I experienced in videogames, but that's about it. When looking back 4 months later, it was a rushed, empty game too big for its own good.
