I do agree with the general gist of your argument, I'm playing through dishonored 1 at the moment and, while I recognize it has decent gameplay and mechanics, the story and characters leave much to be desired, and the steampunk theme gets in the way of my enjoyment. It's almost impossible to take it seriously.
