How come everyone loved Bravely Default when this game was

Doesn't it pretty much just have Chrono Trigger combat? BD combat is much better than CT's.

Because Bravely Default managed to combine generic Final Fantasy themes with an inspired combat system (it fused an old idea with a new spin that added a ton of depth and strategy), fun characters, and orgasmic music. For a lot of people, it was like playing a true successor to the original six Final Fantasies.

Seriously Setsuna's soundtrack is listenable but it's a total bitch compared to BD
