Because Kirby is simplicity in it's greatest form. No one expects Kirby to have any extraordinary changes and it's loved because it stays on point as a loveable franchise about a pink ball that floats and eats everything. Even the few times where it forays into ventures like golf, Puyo Puyo or a Tetris clone, it still does well because it keeps that charm throughout. Plus, and this is just me talking, but it's pretty cool that the most potentially powerful video game character of all time is no taller than a bike tire.

There's nothing wrong with making the same game over and over again with few changes, change CAN definitely be a bad thing.

Examples of bad change: Digimon World. Digimon world 1-4 are all pretty much entirely different genres.

Examples of good change: Kirby. If you like one Kirby game there's literally no reason you wouldn't like all of them. You can buy a Kirby game knowing nothing about it at all, but you know what you're in for so you will know the experience is enjoyable already. Pokemon is the same way.

Every kirby game except this one is pretty mediocre imo. They need to make another amazing mirror but with the more advanced power movesets of the newer games.

Kirby does a great job of splitting between traditional, experimental and spin offs even then the more traditional games split between a dreamland style and adventure style with most games expanding or adding a new gimmick to keep things fresh.
I love the series and that being said fucking fire the level design team behind mass attack and rainbow curse, I've never been hit so hard with the monkey paw than I did with Rainbow Curse.

All you need for a Kirby sequel at minimum is new fun level design and lots of new powers to mess around with.

Level design isn't very good, I binged all 3 Dreamland games not too long ago but couldn't be bothered to finish 3.

1 is kinda clunky but has a bit of a bite with some challenge so I'll forgive it and for being a first game n all, dream Land 2 is a major step up with the animal buddies giving the game some variety while improving some other things, dream land 3...well it gives you more animal buddies so more experimentation with powers but damn the levels really start to get DULL I noticed this myself by sand canyon, boss battles are decent though and music is nice I'm not calling it bad but I don't think I'll be finishing it anytime soon.

I understand. Dreamland 3 is one of my favorite games, but I can see it's flaws and such. Movement is great when dashing, but walking and Kirby's air speed is on the slower side. The side missions in each stage are interesting, but can get tedious and a bit confusing at times. Just made me wish they handled it a bit better. Sometimes I wish they made a better version of Dreamland 3 and combine that with the interconnected level design of Amazing Mirror, including the 4-player co-op which has everyone going their own ways.

Well a lot of it has to do with Kirby's infinite jumps. If stage design has to fit with that, then make some enemies that counters his flight and make him fight on the ground. With Mario, it's jumping from platform to platform with the occasional enemies/obstacles. If someone is editing a level using Kirby, they will need to have in mind the enemy type, the kind of power it will give him, any mid-bosses that would try to stop the player's progress, and obstacles that can deal out a good amount of damage so players won't get too cocky. Plus the option to have an abundant amount of healing items, or a very limited supply of it.

Ignoring your flub, "shoot it until it dies" is a basic rule in most videogames.
Bosses in kirby don't flinch either, if you don't watch the tells for their attacks you'll take a good amount of damage. Kirby bosses work under the principle, easy to avoid but very punishing if you fuck up. Kirby beats Mario in terms of bosses most definitely in both the fight design and the cool factor. The last mainstream mario game with good bossfights to me was Mario Galaxy.

The best kind of games are games that keep making the same games over and over.
Good examples are Dynasty Warriors and Pokemon.
They know exactly who their fans are and what they want and they make games specifically for them.
There's no chasing a wider audience or attempts to reinvent the game constantly.
They have a blueprint and they stick to it.

Of course. I do like the idea of him being the eldest of Kirby's species however. There's a lot to infer over his design compared to Meta Knight and Kirby.
Meta Knight we know is an Adult of the species, and we can tell based on his evolutions of Wings and voice. Comparing him to Galacta Knight, it's very possible that GK is the Pinnacle of the species.

Now hold the fucking phone, I can't speak for Dynasty Warriors, but Pokemon is one of the worst examples out there as it has gotten increasingly stale; recycling the formula for monster collecting only works for so long until you reach the point where there's 1k monsters and it's not feasible to maintain. Meanwhile, the best pokemon games are arguably the spin-offs; Coliseum and the game that shall not be named had a much smaller scope and as a result worked so much better, the double battles by default changed it up slightly but was a breath of fresh air, and the shadow pokemon thievery added an interesting twist to the usual walk into tall grass shtick. The Mystery Dungeon games, while technically a sort of crossover thing, are still amazing, and probably one of, if not the, best MD iterations, lord knows it's the best one that actually got localized, and were done so well they blow the mainline games out of the water, provided you don't have an irrational hatred of procgen dungeons.

Now I'm not saying gimmicking up the main formula year after year is a good idea, either, look at FF to see how much of a complete disaster that is, but still, the same blueprint ad infinum, at least in some genres, will detract from the games over time until they are a husk of what they once were.

I don't think you understand. I enjoy monster collecting. But collecting the same monsters over and over is tiring. I thoroughly enjoyed gen V, it's probably the 2nd best gen there is, despite the 1:1 copies of gen I pokemon, since there are 156 new pokemon and none of the old ones til postgame, which is how it should be. Then they screwed the pooch and made mega evolutions. Alolan forms were a great idea, but there were so few that it felt underused, and there shouldn't have been regular kanto mons, all alolan or nothing kind of deal.

I mention FF because I enjoy the spin-offs, CC, 4HoL, probably one or two more from a while back, but don't care at all for the main games, but the people that do have my sympathies since the series has basically lost its sense of self.
