Just started pic related after finishing Bloodborne.
What should I expect?

puzzle fighter with shoot em up elements
don't forget to get the goty upgrade dlc to unlock the best level tho
You shouldn't expect anything. These games are best experienced not knowing shit. Most games are.
A fun and raw Souls experience. I highly recommend playing as blind as possible. It's pretty rough around the edges but it does the little things pretty well, like explaining why you glow.

Best atmosphere in a souls game.
Not sure, let me tell you after I play it on my PC
Its shit
>HURR I JUST STARTED A GAME
>WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I CAN FIND OUT BY PLAYING UUUUUURRRFF
kill yourself
MAGIC IS COMPLETLY AND RETARDEDLY BROKEN IN THAT GAME
The entire game is 100% trivial if you just spam greater soul arrow
Have fun!

I am playing it completely blind, though I know it's risky to post about it here.
I immediately see connections with bloodborne.
>the old one
>the nexus/hunter's dream
>loading screen shows 'patches' the hyena
my mind is going wild with lore aha. my health bar seems capped right now, so the first thing I really need to do is figure out why.

Bosses aren't tests of skill except for 4, the rest are puzzle/gimmick fights. Always look over edge, you can climb over ledges sometimes and they don't have any markings on them. It is in your worst interest to die while In human form in a level, and if you manage to clear an entire world without dieing in human form once, you can find extra goodies in the world. If you manage to die in human form a lot you will also get goodies

In other words you're encouraged to die in human form in the nexus, which is a real dumb game mechanic. Once you have cleared a world without dying in human form, die in it a lot in human form.

because reddit is the only place where you might get used to that, it couldn't come from being an editorial assistant for 5 years and seeing the benefit of paragraph breaks to allow for the flow of clarity.
Ya dig?

Memorable boss fights.

I hate this whole reddit spacing witch hunt. Why is it that those who hate reddit know more about it than anyone else here? I've been "reddit spacing" on /v/ since 2011. It looks nice so fuck off.
