As much as you may like the PS4, there is no changing that it is a console, which by default is a limited platform. It is not even a slight exaggeration to say that the total number of available PS4 games, both physical and digital, is only a drop in the pond compared to the literal tens of thousands of games which have been produced on PC. You can play games from 2017, you can play games from 1987. Moreover, every single game is customizable to a degree that will NEVER be achieved on any console. 10 years from now, every title on the PS4 will be added to the PC's ever-growing library of emulated software, and the PS4 itself will be a fart in the wind. Meanwhile, the PC will still be alive and well.

I'm primarily a console gamer, and I'm glad you enjoy your console, but all consoles are a limited platform with limited customization options, limited features, and limited games. If you seriously think that the PS4, with its few dozen games worth playing, is better than a 40 year old platform with thousands of amazing games of every single genre that can be tweaked and modded in any way you want, you are literally mentally retarded.

...Also, PS4 doesn't have Diablo 2 or Brood War. I'm glad we had this discussion, now finish eating the Hamburger Helper that mommy made you and shut the fuck up.

PS4 is only 'not a PC' in that Sony intentionally broke compatibility to prevent people from running unmodified OSes.
Bypass that and you can run standard PC operating systems like GNU/Linux on it.

3D acceleration even works because the PS4's SOC is very similar to AMD's other low-end SOC parts from the same era.
All the open source driver devs needed to do was add the device IDs and it just worked.
