I just want a very streamlined FPS battle royal game. Constant moving, fast pacing, no looting system apart from guns/ammo, no armor so everyone's on a level playing field.

Even that is nothing new. ArmA battle royale mods had this, that battle royale flavor of the month game from december/january (whatever it was called, i can't even remember anymore) had it, basically any battle royale game or mod has this gameplay mechanic.
And this is it, PUBG is yet another glorified BR, it will eventually die off like all of them before.
