There's so much low effort shovelware out there, and everything that might otherwise be ok is packed with microtransactions. it feels like there aren't any real games on the entire store. Seriously, is there a single worthwhile mobile game out there? I'm talking about a game that's ONLY on mobile too, so no emulators or ports.

I live near a big city with a balanced, active Ingress community. Travel and data costs can get a bit high sometimes, but the people are cool. I've driven across the country to do a few of the major events over the past few years, and those have been really fun.

I've played a handful of gachas without putting any money in. They were entertaining until I hit the inevitable progression walls, or I got lucky and pulled whatever the strongest units are at the time and clear the game's content without even having to try.

Are there any good mobile games? All I've ever played in the last 8 years was emulated games. That's it. Astraware had some really good mobile games for Windows Mobile with the stylus, but after that it went down hill when everything went to shit with fat fingering controls.

Mobile is mostly constrained by its lack of controls. Sure you can get a gamepad, but 99% of the market won't bother and just uninstall your game instead.

I am serious when I say that most mobile games are 99.95% trash. There are almost no games on phones worth playing that you couldn't play on an emulator on PC.

The few mobile games that are worth playing don't last long in their fun factor. Any time or money you seriously might consider using to play a mobile game is way more worth using on something else.

There is only one game I've enjoyed on my phone, and it used to be a free flash game (could still be on PC too, not sure) is a game called "Kingdom Rush" which I got for 99c once. It's fun.

Currently playing this piece of junk. Already spent $30 on it. It's worth it because you get tons of speed-ups and resources per dollar so you barely have to wait for anything to finish building.

But you can't just upgrade the main building(Citadel)over and over again, you have to fill other requirements, so it gets a bit tedious. And the research tree is too much to bear sometimes.

I've been playing Heroes of Incredible Tales for over a year now, and I have a high end PC which gets little use other than running bluestacks on which I play HIT when I'm home. The game's main appeal is the pvp. The combat is Tera like and it's years ahead of any other mobileshit, heck it's better than what you would find in most other mmos and arpg's.

I haven't spent a cent on it and I'm one of the strongest players in pve and pvp. There are people who have dropped 5-10k $ on this game and I've beaten them with my low lvl alts, since the game is skill based.

Black Survival is a great game on mobile devices.

It's a bad phone game though since matches require 15-25 minutes of your undivided attention. If you want to see some matches in English with English commentary check out Trump's videos on it, though he only has two at the moment.

Gatcha is fucking gambling and should be regulated much harshlier.

Its painful. And a lot of games do that. Or they had dpad input, which is painful to do on phone without a external controller.
