2 is the best ps2 one, 4 is the best ps3 one, and 0 is the best ps4 one so far from what I've played, but Kiwami may be on par on the same level as 0 in terms of story and gameplay so I guess for me 6 is the tiebreaker.

I started with Yakuza 0 and so far that's the only one I've played. I also have Kiwami preordered.

Only played 1, 2 and 0. Watched playthroughs for 3, 4 and 5.
0 is fun as hell and was refreshing not to have a plot that was balls to the wall retarded but I still preferred the plot of 2 a bit more and Ryuji was a better endgame villain than Shibusawa.

Be sure to play these games in order. It's easy to get digital Y4/Y5 on PS3, they cheap, but Y3 is disc only and there's no PS2 classic version of Y2.

When does it actually ger hard? I just finished chapter 8 and people were bitching about the escort being difficult on legend when it was a joke when I did it.

Kiwami isn't nearly as good as Zero from a pure gameplay standpoint. Story wise it's hard to say which is 'better'. The first mystery in Inochi no Uta is really good, but the second one comes out of nowhere. The ending is great if you've been playing the games, but pretty bad if you've just started. Akiyama should have been playable. Six is a very streamlined experience, and I put a billion hours into it. I'll probably buy the American version too.

That's how I felt about it at first, but I grew to actually like the Hiroshima guys. Nagumo especially after getting to do the fight in context. I felt content when it was done.
