All the spots where items are located in bone village are marked by a small collection of teal pixels. They only become visible once you enter the bomb mode. We never had to search using the people at all, we just needed 4k displays back then to see the pixels. I'm not sure you could see them with the tech that was out at that time.

I'm only playing through the game in 4k because I don't think anyone else has done a native 4k playthrough, the polygons look great naturally, but recording and editing the footage is a giant pain in the ass, the footage folder is nearing 200GBs


There's obviously not a huge difference in quality going from 480p native to 4k downscaled, the biggest difference is in the polygons, though text is a tiny bit sharper on the downscaled side

If it was part of the background it would be the same resolution as the background image and you would see it when the mini-game wasn't active.
Most likely is a polygon model that's been scaled down to the minimum value.

everything ran on mako, including the helicopters. The shinra planes used props and mako reactors to fly IIR. Even the Cars and shit run on mako, there is an entire CGI thing in the HQ that covers it. Shinra didn't have jets.
