There have been over 100 games featuring Mario in the history of video games. The first Mario game came out in 1982, which is 35 years ago. That's roughly 3 games a year for the entire history of video games.
No other franchise has ever come close to the level of milking that Mario has. Not even half as close. Not even a quarter as close. Mario is the deadest horse ever beaten.

35 years later and almost all of his games are fun. The 2D platformers, the 3d platformers, the sports games, Mario kart, all of the rpgs, mario party, hell even Mario and Sonic Olympic is fun with a friend. What's your point?

His games, consistently brilliant, his spinoffs in rpg, consistently executed with excellence of gameplay, his casual sport and party games, consistently bought and entertained normies for decades.
You misunderstand, poor weak anon. He is a meme of humanity, and a beacon of fun. People meme past games, normies laugh at how weird he is, gamers never forget nostalgia of SMW and SM64, professionals worship its craftmanship of music, play and human enjoyment.
Mario will keep being reborn and never forgetten. Nintendo could kill every franchise they had, but Mario would be the only one that couldn't die.
