Mostly better battles but it isn't as good as the first in world design. TTYD absolutely loves to waste your time. Also make sure to try the M&L series

Most people love it. However, expect a good number of people to be contrarian and state otherwise, citing that the first game is 90% better, and TTYD is an awful sequel.

After playing both for the first time with two runs throughout this year, I personally think TTYD is better.

nobody says its an awful sequal. the design aesthic change from cute paper book story to TTYD taking the paper theme to new limits with his paper skills and the combat is much better. Paper Mario and Mario RPG are just too comfy and the nostalgia flows hard
