Would you even buy it if they released it as a standalone now? I feel like my hype for it died about a month after its release when I realized they weren't releasing it separately, then I took my nostalgia glasses off and haven't thought off it since.

Well im an xbox fucboi so this makes me feel even more retarded
Picked it up when the standalone came out because I lived under a rock for a while and MW2 was the last game I played online. It's still fun, but modern game design hurt it bad.
They locked 25% of weapons behind that dumbass box system, and they're all transparently OP. Also, they cluttered it with so much useless junk that you have to either roll for weeks at a time to unlock a single thing of value or just do what every teenager in the world does and pay to win.
Most of the time you die it's usually from one of the same three guns, usually brightly colored with a hideous and impractical reticle.
All the camos are ugly and brightly colored, as to satisfy to the obnoxious fantasies of loud, stupid children. Weapon kits are junk that are never cool or interesting, and cater to the same immature tastes.
TL;DR- Teenagers and Skinner boxes ruined MWR. It's only fun in spite of them.
