Shenmue 3 was always going to be trash for 2 reasons:
1. It's a Shenmue game, and they suck. Even for their time they were shit.
2. They launched the Kickstarter at fucking E3, dude.

You need to know exactly where the camera is, and it takes forever to make these characters. It's only possible for a game like a fighting game then. You couldn't do that for a game with 200 enemies.

I'm not saying that they should copy Xrd's style, I'm saying they should have gone with the same process of "how can we stick to our concept art style" when making the 3D visuals.
